CHANCA PIEDRAis a varietal shrub that is found in the tropical and subtropical rain forests of the Peruvian Amazon.In Peruvian Spanish and indigenous herbal medical systems, CHANCA PIEDRAmeans both stone breaker and to shatter stones. CHANCA PIEDRAis used traditionally to help break up all types of kidney, bladder and gall stones and may help limit pain and inflammation related to the presence of stones, crystals and calculi in the bladder, kidneys, gall bladder and liver.

CHANCA PIEDRA isused traditionally and holistically to help support healthy kidney function and as an adjunctive to reduce inflammation in the bladder and kidneys related to urinary tract infections and inflammation; to helpbreak up kidney, liver, gallbladder and bladder stones, gravel, crystals and calculi,providing a possible preventative layer of support against all types of urinary infections and stone formation in the kidneys, ureters and bladder, due to its natural plant chemical content including antioxidants, lignans, glycosides, flavonoids, linolic acid, alkaloids, ellagitannins, phenylpropanoids, lipids, sterols, and flavonols which have a potential role in inhibiting pathogen adherence to enothileal cells in the urinary bladder.

CHANCA PIEDRAcontains healthy, natural plant chemicals that are strongly antilithic (stone breaking), antiviral, antibacterial, antispasmodic and analgesic (pain relieving).

Administer the treatment for 4 weeks and then terminate use for 5-7 days if your pet's diet does not include a pet friendly Probiotic. Do NOT discontinue if your pet has a large stone, an unpassable stone or is at risk or urethral blockage. It is strongly suggested that you include a pet friendly probiotic.

Your pet may drink more water and require more frequent bathroom breaks while using CHANCA PIEDRA. This is normal and a healthy response to the natural detoxification process.

You should not see physical stones in your pet's stools or urine. CHANCA PIEDRA, in its literal translation means stone crusher and stone breaker, and passed stones and crystals should not be visible.

Contraindicated for pregnant and nursing pets and likely contraindicated for pets diagnosed with hypoglycemia and for use with diuretic medications. May strengthen the effects of insulin, diabetic, diuretic, anti-hypertensive and beta-blocker drugs and other heart medications (including chronotropic and inotropic drugs.)

Unless your pet is experiencing an emergency situation such as a large stone, an unpassable stone, urethral blockage or risk or other critical health issue, it is suggested your pet take a 5-7 day break at 30 days of use, and then resume as needed.

Suggested to add a probiotic to help support native gut flora due to its natural anti-microbial activity. Your pet will likely drink more water and need more bathroom breaks.

For a small to medium size dog, the average use is 1-3 months; For a large breed dog it is 3-6 months. The suggested time frame is an average to help break down active stones but also for its potential preventative actions against future stone formation.
